 An Entity is a real-world object which it has certain properties called attributes that define the nature of entity.

Main entities of the academic institution are students, teachers, books, library, managers, registrations and courses.

An entity is an independent existence and different from other objects. An entity have a lot of attributes. In real world entities are playing a main role. In Entity relationship model an entity is represented by a rectangle. There are two types of entities are using in this model. They are strong entities and weak entities. Strong entities can hold without any dependent. But weak entities dependent on other entity.
