A Business Process means a series of steps performed by a group of stakeholders to achieve a concrete goal. If simply explain, a business process is a process that is focused on achieving a goal for a business.

The importance of business processes is a process forms the lifeline for any business and helps it streamline individual activities, making sure that resources are put to optimal use.

It is the discipline in which people use various methods to discover, model, analyze, measure, improve, optimize and automate business processes.

Business Process Reengineering is a business management strategy, originally Pioneered in the early 1990 (Michael Hammer published an article in the Harvard Business Review) focusing on the analysis and design of workflows and business process within an organization.
